This blog is the lovechild of myself and Sean Blaze— something we often talked about doing but were too lazy/busy to get started. We're not music scholars, by any means; Just some college students (and beatmakers) who enjoy listening to Biggie Smalls (R.I.P.) while puffing a blunt.
For those into Hip Hop like we are, the genre is a ethnomusicology lesson, in itself. There is a near-infinite body of music from which Hip Hop has tapped many sources. We like to think we know a lot about music, but we can learn as much (if not more) from readers and other blogs as we can teach, ourselves.
We're going to post whatever the fuck we feel like (albums, videos, songs) and politick about the sad state of Hip Hop (especially from our native New York). Feel free to join in on the discussion.

The Steez
On Digable Peoples, we show love for good music, new and old. We're a couple of music fanatics hoping to spread and expand our musical knowledge. We're especially interested in promoting talented artists typically marginalized by mainstream media (i.e. MTV, BET, Radio, etc.). If an artist would prefer that their artistic expression doesn't get any shine, let us know and we'll remove the links.
